The Carnegie UK Trust investigates areas of public concern to influence policy and practice, in the interest of democracy, civil society and social justice.

A key focus of the Trust’s work is an Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society in the UK and Ireland chaired by Geoff Mulgan.

The purpose of the Inquiry is to explore possible future threats and opportunities to civil society, looking out to 2025. One of the key threats identified by the Inquiry is the marginalisation of dissent.

The Carnegie UK Trust supports the Convention on Modern Liberty and the Inquiry welcomes its focus on protecting fundamental rights and freedoms.

Please visit the Inquiry website to find out how you can contribute to the Inquiry and continue the debate.
